Joseph May Swing (b. Feb. 28, 1894, Jersey City, N.J.-d. Dec. 9, 1984), Lieutenant General, U. S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1915. During World War I, he served as Aide to the Army Chief of Staff, and following the War, he served with the 1st Field Artillery, was an instructor at the Field Artillery School, and was Assistant Chief of Staff (Intelligence) and Chief of Staff, 2nd Division.
